The scabbard features a hand-colored 'saddle tan' oak tanned leather, with hand tooled decoration. The suspension straps are a brown hued 'cordovan' with steel 'strap' buckles. Each and every detail hand carved & meticulously designed to represent a period scabbard in Italian fashion. The interior features a poplar wood core shaped to fit to blade precisely. The sliding action is smooth as butter with wool protecting the blade, and acting as a buffer between the blade and the wood core. The scabbard features a 2.5 suspension setup, ready for support belt with straps, which are not included. A belt with straps can be ordered separately if desired, or the scabbard can be displayed as is without a belt getting in the way of displaying this ornate scabbard on the wall. Sword-less scabbard orders; DBK Custom Scabbards are built using the sword models we have on hand to fit that very sword. Our process requires a sword in order to shape the wood core to the blade, and other physical variances such as the shape of the guard that require a physical example on hand in order to build the scabbard to a proper fit. We do not guarantee the fit on these scabbards as there is no way to be sure the manufacturer didn't change some physical aspect causing a drastic enough variance to eliminate any chance of the scabbard fitting both swords. Furthermore any requests made by the customer to attempt a 'proper' or 'normal' fit is done at the customer's own risk of their own sword not fitting properly or at all. In any event DBK Custom Swords will not refund your money in the event your sword does not fit properly, or at all.
